A Netherlands-born batting sensation, Bas De-Leede is a professional cricketer, who has been representing his nation since 2018 and also played for Marylebone Cricket Club as a young player. The top-order batsman is also known to swing his arm to bowl a couple of overs as a medium pacer.
After representing his national side at the Under-19 level, De-Leede made his List A debut for Royal Netherlands Cricket Board XI (KNCB XI) during the Netherlands tour of Zimbabwe in 2017 and then made his first-class debut against Namibia during the ICC Intercontinental Cup.
De-Leede was selected for the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier when Stephan Myburgh got injured. However, the Dutch made his T20 debut in June 2018 and his ODI debut came in August. After being irregular in the Netherlands set up, De-Leede made his mark during the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I Series of 2021, when his 81* took the Dutch home while chasing 207 runs.
Bas De-Leede comes from a cricketing background with his father being a former international cricketer. With the Netherlands getting many more opportunities now, De-Leede can become a prominent name in the coming future.
