This is it from the live coverage of this game with Ireland Women winning it by 5 Wickets. That’s it for today from myself Nikhil Kalla alongside my co-commentators Deepak and Hitesh with our scorer/analyst Dushyant Kumar. See you soon again with more games to follow till then stay safe.

NIKHIL: So, we are done here Ireland Women winning the game as they defeat Netherlands Women by 5 wickets, as they chase down the target of 84 runs.

Netherlands Women started off in the worst possible manner as they managed to score just 12 runs in the first powerplay losing 3 wickets. The wickets kept tumbling and there was no concrete partnership. The highest partnership was of 32 runs and that came for the 8th wicket partnership. Frederique Overdjik was the top scorer as she managed to score 38 runs staying not out.

For Ireland Women, Kelly and Rachel Delany scalped 3 wickets each. Murray took a couple of wickets. Delany and Dempsey took a wicket each.

In reply to the target set by the Dutch Women, Ireland Women started in the best manner taking out the sting of any havoc in a low-scoring encounter.

Ireland Woman managed to score 45 runs in the first powerplay losing just 1 wicket. Gaby Lewis and Leah Paul batted well as they scored 39 runs for the first wicket partnership. Leah Paul, Gaby Lewis, Amy Hunter and Kavanagh departed in quick succession after a decent enough start by the openers. Prendergast played a good cameo of 24 at the end to get the visitors over the line.

For Netherland Women, Zwilling scalped the wicket of Leah and Delany, well helped by Siegers who also took a couple of wickets. Lynch took a wicket too.

This was an easy walk-in-the-park kind of outing for the Ireland Women's side as they take a 1-0 lead in the 3-game series against the Netherlands Women in Amsterdam.
