So, that’s all from this three-match ODI series between the United Arab Emirates and West Indies. The visitors have defeated UAE emphatically in the final ODI to complete the clean sweep. This was a vital series victory for the West Indies right before the World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, which begins next week. Stay tuned for more cricketing action around the world. For now, this is Megh Mandaliya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Cheers!
Shai Hope collects the trophy and hands it over to his teammates. The celebrations have begun in the Windies camp. Daren Sammy also starts his white-ball coaching stint on a positive note.
Brandon King (Player of the Series): "Yeah, it was good to get that century but it's all part of a process. Yeah, as I said, It's all part of the process. My team has trusted me to play the shots I want to. I was looking for another hundred but it didn't happen. I think UAE provided a good challenge. They know how to bowl on these conditions better than us. They played very competitive cricket. Yeah, I enjoy coming here to play cricket."
Kevin Sinclair (Player of the match): "It was my dream to play for West Indies and I am happy to contribute to the team. My first game here and I am very happy with my performance. It was all about the hit the right areas. Two day's ago it was my grandfather's 75th birthday and this award is for him, who supported me in my career.

I am incredibly grateful for the constant support and guidance provided by the support staff. They have always believed in my talent and abilities, understanding my potential. Transitioning from playing with the red ball to the white ball has been a significant change for me since arriving from Zimbabwe.

However, I am delighted with the way I have successfully adapted to this new format. The support and encouragement from the staff have played a vital role in my adjustment, and I am appreciative of their unwavering belief in me."

Roston Chase (West Indies Captain): "Yeah, we lost some wickets at the backend so I just wanted to be there till the game finishes. Alick Athanaze has been in really good form and he just went there and expressed himself today. Yeah, the guys were trying to rotate the strike today as the target wasn't large enough. I have been bowling well. Today, I didn't get any wickets but that's how cricket goes and I was bowling in the right areas. Kevin Sinclair was brilliant today. He adjusted to the conditions really quickly."
Muhammad Waseem (UAE Captain): "Yeah, we had the chance today even after I got out. We faced a collapse in the middle. The run-outs were quite disappointing, and if you had seen it on camera, you would have witnessed my reaction. Nevertheless, we are putting in dedicated efforts to improve our performance.

Aayan and Karthik are exceptionally talented individuals, and their skills are evident. While not everyone has been able to showcase their full potential, a select few players have truly come to the forefront, demonstrating their exceptional talents.

Our preparations for the upcoming matches in Zimbabwe have been excellent, and we have been practicing diligently. We are optimistic that our hard work and preparation will pay off and contribute to better performances on the field. Thanks to the crowd for supporting us."

11:29 PM IST | The West Indies have completed the whitewash against the UAE after defeating them by 4 wickets in the third ODI. They have simply drubbed the home side in all three encounters to capture a moral-boosting series victory ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers. Daren Sammy has surely brought about a change in attitude and approach amongst the Windies players. The West Indies also continue their unbeaten streak against the UAE with this victory, and they have now won all five of their ODI encounters against the hosts.

Chasing a meager total of 185, the debutant Alick Athanaze powered the West Indies to a scintillating start and made certain there were no hiccups in the chase. The southpaw commenced his International career with a boundary and kept on batting in a belligerent fashion inside the powerplay. Johnson Charles 3(10), on the other hand, walked back early as Muhammad Jawad Ullah trapped the right-hander in front with a brilliant nip-backer and bagged his maiden ODI wicket.

Shamarh Brooks joined forces with the debutant and played some single-minded cricket but Athanaze continued his attacking approach and kept piling the runs. Athanaze’s combination was a combination of brute force and flair as he registered the joint-fastest half-century on an ODI debut. Athanaze and Brooks added 66 runs for the second wicket before the former was dismissed on 65(45) attempting a needless reverse sweep.

The right-handed Brooks continued to play the second fiddle and accumulated 39(58) before he holed out in the deep. The UAE spinners caused some troubles in the middle overs as Keacy Carty 20(31) and Kavem Hodge 0(1) returned in quick succession but stand-in skipper Roston Chase 27*(32) and Raymon Reifer 15(30) absorbed the pressure and helped the visitors to register a dominating victory. All three of Aayan Afzal Khan, Karthik Meiyappan, and Muhammad Jawad Ullah picked a couple of wickets each for UAE.

Earlier in the day, after electing to bat first, skipper Muhammad Waseem ushered the UAE to an authoritative start by pummeling the Windies pacers early on in the contest. Waseem and Vriitya Aravind went on an onslaught against spinners and kept the scorecard thriving. Kavem Hodge was brought into the attack inside the powerplay but he was swatted for 29 runs in his first two overs. Waseem and Aravind stitched a quick 69-run partnership for the second wicket before the left-armer Raymon Reifer had the woods over Waseem 42(34) in the 12th over.

The 55-run stand between Aravind and Rameez Shahzad for the third wicket was broken by Kevin Sinclair as the right-arm spinner caught Shahzad for 27(40) off his own bowling. The Windies spinners bowled in tandems and were successful to stem the flow of runs. The UAE low-order was peppered with some unplayable deliveries as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Vriitya Aravind 70(75) was the lone warrior for the hosts and gave the bowlers something to uphold. Kevin Sinclair was the pick of the bowlers for the Windies and bagged a brilliant four-wicket haul (4/24). Stick around for the post-match presentation!
