So, that's it from this game in the World Cup Qualifiers with Sri Lanka coming out winners. We will be back tomorrow with another set of games from Harare in Group A. Stick around for more cricketing actions across the globe. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka Captain): "No pressure. We played our natural game. I think playing Qualifiers is a pleasure. I would have bowled as well and would have exploited that. Yes. Dimuth and Pathum have done well. Then the rest followed. Dimuth's role is the key to success. I would like to see to see my two fast bowlers getting wickets. That's the only thing. But Hasaranga is special and he did his part. We have to use the short balls wells and as the tournament wears on we have to be smart in the usage of the short balls. That will help us get wickets in the future. Thank you very much."
Muhammad Waseem (UAE Captain): "We started well, but we were looking for early wickets. We did not do that and struggled thereafter. Moisture was there, but they played really well. We needed to restrict them to 270-280 but gave away too many runs. We started well. Myself and Vriitya started well. We thought we could do this, but lost too many wickets in clumps. He is a very good talent for UAE. If he plays all 50 overs he can do well. Thank you very much."
Wanindu Hasaranga (Player of the Match): "It feels great. I am really happy to get my 50th wicket and also a fifer. The pitch had grip in it and I enjoyed bowling in here. I always try to bowl wicket to wicket and glad that I got the job done. Our batters played really well. 350+ on this pitch is great. Kusal, Sadeera and the openers started well and then Asalanka and me finished off well. So, I feel we got a great score on the board. I feel we performed well as a unit and got the two points and a healthy net run rate."
7:30 PM IST: A commanding 175-run win for Sri Lanka as they have outplayed UAE in all departments of the game to notch up their first points of the tournament. They have outplayed their opponents in all facets of the game as UAE learnt a bitter lesson about ODI cricket. Hasaranga was the star with 6 wickets with the ball.

Chasing a massive score of 356 for an improbable win, UAE started brightly but soon fell away. Rohan Mustafa was the first one to go for 12. Skipper Muhammad Waseem played well for his 39 off 48 balls. Vriitya Aravind played well for his 39 off 55 balls. Rameez Shahzad scored 26 off 43 balls while Ali Naseer scored 34 off 32 balls. But nobody had the skills to get a big score and had no answers to Hasaranga's magic. They were bowled out for 180 in 39 overs. 11 extras were given by the fielding side.

Wanindu Hasaranga was the star and pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka as he finished with 6/24 in 8 overs. He got to 50 ODI wickets and his first five wicket haul. A wicket apiece for Lahiru Kumara, Maheesh Theekshana, and Dhananjaya de Silva. No wickets for Kasun Rajitha who had a forgettable day in the field giving away free runs and dropping a catch. Other than that, it was a near perfect game for Sri Lanka.

Earlier in the game, Sri Lanka were put into bat by UAE. It was an all-round batting effort from the Lankans with the top-4 getting 50+ and Number 5 almost getting to a 50. The duo of Dimuth Karunaratne and Pathum Nissanka started well as they scored 52 and 57 respectively. Kusal Mendis carried it on and top scored with 78 off 63 balls. Sadeera Samarawickrama gave him good support with his 73 off 64 balls. Thereafter, Charith Asalanka's 48* off 23 balls and Wanindu Hasaranga's 23* off 12 balls powered Sri Lanka to 355/6 in 50 overs. The last 10 overs went for a whopping 108 runs. 18 extras were given by the fielding side.

It was a tough day for the UAE bowlers who showed bright spots in patches. Ali Naseer was the pick of the bowlers who finished with figures of 2/44 in 10 overs. A wicket to Aayan Afzal Khan who bowled 10 overs for 52 runs. Rohan Mustafa and Basil Hameed got a wicket each to their name but they went for plenty of runs. A hard day for the UAE bowlers and a team as a whole.

So, a win by 175 runs for Sri Lanka as they have made a statement to kickstart their campaign. Stick around for the presentation ceremony that comes your way soon.

38.6 W Hasaranga to Ullah
W WICKET! Full and straight angling in, Ullah is befuddled here as he looks to defend. The ball goes through to clatter the stumps. The off-stump goes for a walk as Hasaranga gets his 6th wicket and finishes off the tail. The Number 11 departs for a golden duck as UAE suffer their third heaviest defeat in ODIS.
Muhammad Jawad Ullah is the last man to walk in for UAE.
Hasaranga completes his 5-fer and also completes his 50 wickets in ODI.
38.5 W Hasaranga to Khan
W WICKET! Full and straight angling in, Aayan looks to carve it away through the off-side and misses. It was an ugly heave as the ball goes on to clatter the stumps here. Hasaranga has 5 and goes to 50 ODI wickets. 9 down now.
38.4 W Hasaranga to Z Khan
1 Fuller length on the pads, Zahoor works it away to the midwicket region for a single.
