Monank Patel ( USA Captain):" We played very well and the last four over chasing 40 runs would win. Yea, the batting plan was executed really well and lastly we panicked and in death bowling, we gave lots of runs. I thought we played with different bowlers and executed well too. Yeah I mean we lost the wickets in a difficult situation. (T20 World Cup) It's a big moment for us and we are ready for that"

Chasing a stiff target of 309 for the win, USA got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers. Modani went early. Mukkamalla hung in there and scored 21 off 17 balls. Skipper Monank Patel led from the front with his 61 off 66 balls. His deputy played well as well as Aaron Jones scored 75 off 103 balls. Gajanand Singh upped the ante and scored 69 off 44 balls. Shayan Jahangir chipped in with a quickfire 32 off 19 balls. Nisarg Patel scored 14 off 10 balls. 11 extras were given by the fielding side as USA ended with 307/9 in 50 overs falling 1 run short.
Sanchit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for UAE with figures of 3/37 in 6 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Ali Naseer and Junaid Siddique. A wicket apiece for Jawad Ullah and Aayan Afzal Khan. Rohan Mustafa and Karthik Meiyappan returned wicketless. They did just enough despite being very sloppy on the field were UAE.

W WICKET!! WHAT A GAME!!! UAE held their nerves till the end and win this game by one run!! What a nail biting game this was!! Good length delivery on the leg stump line, Ali Khan looks to flick on the leg side but gets the leading edge of the bat. The ball files towards the short cover fielder, who makes no mistake takes an easy catch. Sharma defended 11 runs in the last over and UAE win this game by 1 run.
