That's it from another brilliant encounter, especially for the Indian team and Virat Kohli. Lots of positives for the men in blue before they head to Dharamsala to play New Zealand next. That will be all from our end, Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide, Sidharth Gulati, AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "It was a good win. Something that we were looking forward to. We didn't start off well but the guys pulled off well towards the middle stage of the game and then towards the backend as well.

The last 3 games that we played, our fielding was superb and we played with the same fielding display as well. It is something in your control, when you talk about the effort, I thought there was no letting down from everyone when you talk about the effort on the field. The bowlers were smart enough to understand what sort of lengths and lines they need to bowl.

Jaddu was brilliant with the ball and took a brilliant catch as well. You just can't beat them. We've got something as a fielder award in the group. It lifts everybody up in the side. Guys who end up with the most medals, there is something special for them towards the end of the tournament as well.

There is no major damage (Hardik Pandya) so it's good for us. With an injury like that you've got to assess every day so we hope he pulls up well tomorrow morning and then we will do what needs to be done as a team.

Every game in the World cup is a big game. Everywhere we play in the tournament, we know everyone in the group has gone through some kind of pressure. Stands are full, crowds coming in big numbers. Playing in front of them, everyone has done that. Crowd has been brilliant, hasn't disappointed us and I am sure it will be bigger and louder as we go ahead."
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "Yeah, India are always a good side. They are very capable to play. Today, they showed us again that they are good at the chase.

Today, again, we didn't play well. In the future, we are hoping for a good comeback. Shakib is recovering well, and hopefully, he will get fit for the next match.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim did well. A fifty for him. Youngster has batted really well. We didn't finish well. Had Litton stayed a bit longer, it would have been a different ball-game altogether, the batting group has to take the responsibility.

All of our bowlers have done well. But we didn't have enough scores on the board. We are hoping for a strong comeback in the next game."
Virat Kohli (Player of the Match): "Well. Sorry for stealing it from Jaddu but I wanted to make a big contribution. I had a few fifties in World Cups but hadn't converted them into hundreds. Stay till the end was my motto today.

(About the free hits that he faced at the start of his innings) I was telling Shubman that even if you dream about this situation, go back to sleep. It was a dream start from us.

The pitch was good and it allowed me to play my game. Hit through the line and hit it in the gap. There is a great atmosphere in the changing room. We understand it's a long tournament and we have to create momentum in the change room to carry it on the field.

There is Ash as well. He was also part of the winning World Cup squad. We just want to make the most of it. It is really special to play in front of the crowd"
Player of the Match: Virat Kohli
9:23 PM IST and Local Time: A Kohli classic gives India their fourth victory in as many games as they deposit their name at the second position in the World cup table defeating Bangladesh by 7 wickets with 51 balls to spare.

Bangladesh took the field without regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan with Najmul Hossain Shanto standing in his place. The new skipper won the toss and elected to bat first, Rohit at the other end was happy with the call.

Both the Bangladesh openers scored half century each adding 93 runs for the first wicket. Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj picked up a couple of wicket apiece and restricted Bangladesh to 256/8.

Rohit and Shubman Gill started off at ease smoking boundaries in all parts of the park. Sharma was unlucky to be dismissed 2 runs shy of his 54th ODI fifty but it was his partner who scored 53 and was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Virat Kohli got a dream start as he received two no balls initially and found himself at 12 in 3 deliveries. He carried the momentum throughout the innings and became the fourth player in the world to go past 26,000 international runs.

Kohli added 44 runs for the second wicket with Gill, 46 with Shreyas Iyer for the third and then an unbeaten 83 for the fourth wicket with KL Rahul who remained unbeaten at a-run-a-ball 34. With the target approaching closer and Kohli looking good for his 48th ODI ton, the batters declined some singles, ran some sharp couples and then the evitable maximum took Kohli past three figures and India past the Bangladeshi total.

The win sees India at the second spot in the points table having equal points as of New Zealand. A higher net run rate from the Blackcaps has kept them at the top of the points table.
Oh, man! Bow down to King Kohli. That is a maximum over mid-wicket. That is the winning runs for Team India. That is the six to bring Virat Kohli's hundred. His second hundred versus Bangladesh in the World Cups. Third World Cup 100 for Virat Kohli. 48th in the ODIs. 78th International Century. Wow, just Wow! Also, First World Cup Hundred in a run-chase for Kohli.

6 SIXXX!!!!! This is King Kohli. This is Chase Master Kohli. What a way to finish the chase and with that, he brings up his 48th ODI hundred. He was determined to get to his hundred. Calculated perfectly and gets to triple figures in style. He shows his partner KL Rahul how to win the game and get to your hundred who missed out against Australia. Nasum attempts a yorker on leg but ends up bowling a low full toss, Kohli charges down the track and smokes it over the mid wicket fence for a biggie. With this, India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets and remain unbeaten in the World Cup 2023.

0 Flighted delivery on the stumps and Kohli drives it towards long on. No run.
Richard Kettleborough with a banger of a decision. He wears a smile on his face as he judges it a fair delivery. He knows what's coming.
