That is an end to the league stages of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023! After 45 matches, India stand tall in the points table, winning 9 out of 9 matches, 9 dominating wins and several heroes have stood up at different times. A complete dream team, if there is any!

We now move on to the knockouts where the Men in Blue haven't been enjoying success since the 2011 World Cup glory in the exact same Wankhede Stadium where the hosts, India, will face New Zealand in the first semi-final on Wednesday. South Africa will be facing the five-time champions Australia at Eden Gardens on the following day in the second semis.

Who are those two finalists travelling to the Narendra Modi Stadium? Only time will tell.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators, Akshay Bhide and Sidharth Gulati, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer, brought you all the live-action of this enthralling game of cricket. We will meet again! Until then, it's cheers! Happy Diwali๐Ÿช”!!!!

Rahul Dravid (India Head Coach): โ€œFor us, obviously, it was nice to get a game before the semi-finals. I thought we got what we needed. Five batters getting starts and a couple of them going on and scoring hundreds. The bowlers also were good. Hopefully, we donโ€™t need the sixth bowling option but it was good to test everyone.

Yeah. Our middle order has been fantastic. The top order is one that gets to bat all the time but the middle order has been batting fantastically. Every single game, they have been scoring runs. The wicket is getting slower or sometimes they come into bat after 30 overs but they have adjusted really well and contributed.

When itโ€™s going well, it looks good. One loss and everyone starts speaking. We set a bit of a challenge. We had to play in nine different cities but the boys have responded really well.

For us, itโ€™s about sticking to the same routine. Have a flight tomorrow. Maybe a few meetings and a few net sessions. But nothing different.

We were keeping in mind the six bowling options. Hardik solved that problem but once we lost him, there were a few questions but the other five bowlers have really stepped up. Iโ€™m also confident that our bowlers can contribute with the bat and we are really confident heading into the semi-finals.

We can say that it is just another game. We have our processes and itโ€™s not going to change. We have to accept that there is going to be some amount of pressure but the way boys have responded under pressure, we are really confident. All we can do is stay in the present moment and do what we possibly can. Plan well, prepare well and hopefully, we will get the desired result."
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "Honestly speaking, since the start of the tournament, we always took one game at a time. We never really wanted to look too far ahead. It is a long tournament. 11 games in all if we go all the way. It is important to break it down and focus on it.

We focused on one game. We are playing in different venues and play accordingly, and that's what we did. We are very pleased with how we have played throughout the tournament. We have been very clinical from game one to today. We have had to shift to different venues for different games and adapt to the conditions.

Different individuals have stepped up and put their hand up and done the job. Everyone wanted to take the responsibility. Playing in different venues was a challenge. But we have adapted really well.

We started the tournament with four chasing games in a row. Then we had to bat first, and the pacers did the job along with the spinners. The result matters to keep the dressing room lively. At the end of the day, we are playing for India, and there will be expectations.

We wanted to do the job at hand. It's one thing to talk about it, but for everyone to buy into it is very important. We enjoy each other's company. We wanted to play with enjoyment on the field.

We always try to keep the outside atmosphere lively. The 6th bowler is something that is always in our mind. We want to create those options in the team. Today, we had nine bowling options.

This was the game where we could have
tried certain things. The seamers bowling those wide yorkers, which was not needed, but they did as we were trying something different."
Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): "Yeah. I think we played really well in two games and gave away the opportunity to win. We had to be at our best in the following games to come out on top.

We were pretty confident with the style we play. Playing against India, they are a strong side. But it's a tough competition and a lot of learnings for us and we will look forward to the T20 World Cup next year.

India showed their class with the bat. There were periods when they soaked in the pressure and there was some case when they were only three down with 10 overs to go and we had to pick wickets.

We are a young side still. A lot of young guys in the setup. It's about growing up. A lot of training camps ahead of us. But not too sure about the fixtures."
Shreyas Iyer (Player of the Match): "I kind of deja vu. This happened against Australia as well and I threw away my wicket. But I got the opportunity today and am happy to get to the triple figures.

Not easy and that's the fun part about it. The wicket was a bit tacky. I would say two-paced. Once I adaptedto the pace of the pitch, I started playing my strokes.

I have worked hard in the nets and in the domestic games I have played. I try to hit it straight down the ground. I try to hold my head still while playing those shots and then it's about the followthrough of my hands and the shoulders."
