Jos Buttler (England Captain): "Yes, nice to put in a good performance to finish on a high. It's been a disappointing campaign overall and it is sinking in now. Lot to reflect on and happy to win the match.

Yes, today was great for us. This is what we are capable of and happy to win in the end. Yes, we should have done better without him initially and that's a big player for us.

Yes, it is a disappointing campaign but the talk was to make memories and have great moments and that's what we spoke about today.

Willey is a great performer since 2015 and has done well for us. To get Player of the Match in your last game is a great effort from us.

Yes, I know the road map for us. We don't need to change anything drastic like 2015. We need to look at the areas we need to put in the effort and hope to come back stronger. All good things come to an end, but we ended on a high."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Yes, a very disappointing performance from the team. We tried our best but failed to get through. We started off well but failed to carry that momentum for the rest of the tournament. If we had won that South Africa game, the story would have been a different one for us.

We didn't field well or bowl well in a few games. We have made mistakes in all three departments- bowling, fielding and batting.

Today, we gave 30 runs extra. We bowled loose deliveries. Our spinners didn't take the wickets, which didn't help us. It affected us a lot. If spinners don't take wickets in the middle phase, you tend to struggle.

Yeah, we will sit together and see how to move forward. We will take the positives from this tournament and discuss our mistakes. Yes, I will try my best to put my experience and lead this side in the future. Thank you (replying to Atherton's wish to fly home safe)."
Saptak: Highest run at number 11 batting position in ODI World Cup:

1) Shoaib Akhtar- 43 vs England (2003)

2) Joel Garner- 37 vs India(1983)

3) Harris Rauf- 35 vs England (Today)
David Willey (Player of the Match): "The tournament hasn't gone according to the plan for us (England). To get to 100 ODI wickets is a special moment for me. A nice way to finish. We've got a phenomenal dressing room with great players. Rob Key said to me hope you prove me wrong. I hope I've done that. If I look back, I was never the best player (during academy days). I've just been resilient. Proud to have worn the England jersey. The T20 World Cup win in Australia in 2022 is a memorable moment."
Player of the Match - David Willey
9:36 PM IST and Local Time: A clinical display by England as they beat Pakistan by 93 runs to knock them out of the competition. England with this win qualifies for the Champions Trophy 2025 as both teams bow out of this competition. England outplayed Pakistan in all facets of the game and deserve this win at Eden Gardens Kolkata.

Chasing a stiff target of 338 for the win, Pakistan lost their openers cheaply. Plenty of starts for the Pakistan batters but nobody went through with the innings. Skipper Babar Azam scored 38, Mohammad Rizwan scored 36, Saud Shakeel scored 29. Agha Salman looked good for his 51 off 45 balls as he top scored in the innings. The tail enders had fun out there. Shaheen Afridi scored 25 off 23 balls. Mohammad Wasim Jr scored an unbeaten 16* off 14 balls. Haris Rauf was the last man to go for 35 off 23 balls. 6 extras given by the fielding side. Pakistan have been bowled out for 244 in 43.3 overs.

It was a good bowling display by England. David Willey in his last international game for England finished with 3/56 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Adil Rashid, and Moeen Ali while Gus Atkinson also picked up a couple of wickets. Chris Woakes picked up the last wicket to fall in the innings as he got rid of Haris Rauf. All in all, great display from England today.

Earlier in the game, England won the toss and decided to bat first. They got off to a great start courtesy their openers Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow as they went through the powerplay without losing a wicket. Malan scored 31 off 39 balls. Jonny Bairtsow scored a good looking 59 off 61 balls. Joe Root was amongst the runs today as he scored 60 off 72 balls. Ben Stokes was the star again as he followed up with the century from the previous game to score 84 off 76 balls. He top scored for England. Skipper Jos Buttler scored 27 off 18 balls. Harry Brook looked good for his 30 off 17 balls. David Willey scored 15 off 5 with the bat as England ended with 337/9 in 50 overs. 19 extras given by the fielding side.

From Pakistan's bowling point of view, Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/64 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets for Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr both going for over 70 runs each. Iftikhar Ahmed bowled well and kept things tight with figures of 1/38 in 7 overs. Shadab Khan went wicketless but went for 57 runs in 10 overs. They started badly with the ball and came back well towards the end. But it was too little too late for Pakistan in the end.

So, a win by 93 runs for England as they finish on 7th in the points table and qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025. Stick around for the presentations.
43.3 C Woakes to H Rauf
W WICKETTTT!!! High in the night sky, and it is a teaser for the fielder. One man you want to be under it, and that is Benjamin Andrew Stokes. Woakes finishes with a wicket and Willey and England finish the World Cup with a win. Length delivery aiming the stumps. A leg cutter from Woakes. Rauf clears his front leg and tries to smack it downtown. Doesn't get anywhere close to the pitch of the ball and skies it up off the toe end of the bat. Stokes, at long-on, lines it up and judges it pretty well, ending the fun of the Pakistani tail with a reverse cup. Brilliant from the defending champions before flying back to their country after a disappointing tournament. They do finish on a high, and Willey, in his last international match, walks off, leading the team ahead of Jos Buttler. Both teams have been knocked out of the competition, and with this win, England have made it to the Champions Trophy 2025!
43.2 C Woakes to H Rauf
0 Back of a length slower ball outside off, Rauf lets it go through to the keeper.
43.1 C Woakes to H Rauf
0 Slower ball from over the wicket. Short of a length around off, Rauf steers it away to the point fielder.
