Wanindu Hasaranga (B-Love Kandy Captain): "Credit to our fast bowlers, they bowled really well. In the powerplay, Angelo Mathews bowled well. When we were batting, the wicket was getting better and we played with three fast bowlers who have experience so me and Mujeeb didn't bowl our full quota."
Thisara Perera (Jaffna Kings Captain): "Last game tomorrow, if we click well we can definitely comeback strongly. The batting didn't click, we didn't execute our plans in the first few overs in the batting."

6:46 PM: The B-Love Kandy move to the top of the table with a 8-run victory against the Jaffna Kings in match 15 of the Lanka Premier League. B-Love Kandy won the toss and elected to bat first and put up 178/8 on the board on the back of Mohammad Haris's 81 in 51 balls.
The pitch was a bit sticky with the ball stopping and coming on the bat. The Jaffna top order however did not learn from that and threw away their first three wickets to Angelo Mathews inside the powerplay.
Number 3 Chris Lynn got to a good start as he started to attack but fell right after he got his first maximum against Nuwan Pradeep for 27 in 26 balls. Shoaib Malik held the fort and added 39 with David Miller (24 in 16).
After Isuru Udana got rid of Miller in the 13th over, Malik had the skipper Thisara Perera for company as the experienced duo added 60 runs in 36 balls. Perera was dismissed with 29 needed in 13 balls. Perera found batting form back and hit 2 fours and 2 sixes to score 36 in 20.
Malik then had Dunith Wellalage for company as the Pakistani allrounder went past his half century in the final over but Dushmantha Chameera held his nerve and did not concede a single boundary saving 18 runs in the final over and conceded just 9.
Angelo Mathews (3/10) was the pick of the bowlers with a fantastic powerplay display, Pradeep (2/48) was expensive but got the big wickets at crucial junctures. Isuru Udana also bowled a tidy spell (1/30). The spinners failed to take a wicket with no one completing their 4-over spell.
