So, that's it from our coverage of the WBBL match between Sydney Sixers Women and Melbourne Renegades Women where the Sydney Sixers team defeated their opponent with 27 balls and 7 wickets remaining.

This is myself, Saptak Sanyal signing off alongside my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Hope you have enjoyed our coverage. Stay tuned to our network and keep CREXing.
Ellyse Perry (Player of the Match): "Just really happy with the win today. We have played well throughout but we lacked the confidence. I think it was a tricky chase and glad we got there in the end. Nice to contribute to the team with the ball and it went well with the ball.

Working with my bowling coach and the last couple of months played as a batter. I have learned a lot in the last little bit and hoping to do well. Yes, there was intent today.

The energy and positivity and training has always been there. The confidence thing for us. Hopefully, a kickstart for us. Hopefully, it is a start to go top.

We have done well today and hope to get some momentum. Off to Melbourne now and hope to do well there."

10:54 IST and 13:24 Local Time | Sydney Sixers wins the contest and they have moved on to number 6 of the points table while the Renegades are at the bottom of the table with 2 points. Ellyse Perry shines with both bat and ball to help her team to win the contest.

Earlier, Melbourne Renegades were sent to bat first and they kept losing wickets at regular interval. They went on to become 30 for 5 at one stage. Thanks to a fine 47 run knock from Harmanpreet Kaur, they crossed the 100 run mark. Josephine Dooley played a good knock of 19 runs.

Ellyse Perry took her first fifer in the WBBL and she was the star of the bowling with a bowling figure of 5/22 after her four overs. Lauren Cheatle and Linsey Smith took a couple of wickets each.

Chasing the 105 run target, Ellyse Perry took Hayley Kristen Matthews on to score quick runs in the powerplay. Sara Kennedy on the other end, took a couple of wickets of Maitlan Brown and Ashleigh Gardner. But the situation was overcame by Perry and the number 4 batter, Erin Burns. Together they scored 62 runs in their partnership and helped their team to get into a better position. When Burns got dismissed on 32, Chloe Lesleigh Tryon joined the crease with Perry and she remained unbeaten on 26 of 13 balls and Ellyse Perry remained unbeaten on 44 to help their team to get an easy win.

Sara Kennedy took two wickets for the Renegades and Ella Hayward scalped one wicket for them.
