So, that also brings an wrap to our coverage of this game. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. CHEERS!!
Suzie Bates: "It was her decision, but that's experience for you. It's harder to take on the ball if it's slower in pressure situations and credit to her for taking that decision. We know cricket is a funny game and things change quickly, so for us to stick it out till the end is incredible.

Results are really important for such a young team, we have been putting in the work and getting the rewards shows we are on the right track. There are two games left and we want to win this series.

Last game we leaked a lot at the back end, and this innings we leaked a lot in the powerplay, credit to Bouchier, she was incredible but it was important for us to adapt and get the result today. The crowd is unbelievable, it's one of the best grounds and to have this kind of support, means a lot to us. The noise gives us a little bit of edge and it's great to see."
Heather Knight(England Women Captain): "A really frustrating one to not finish it off but we are a experienced group of players. Maia was brilliant and it will be a great experience for her. Credit to New Zealand with the way they bowled. Suzie Bates bowled well in the last over. Gibson has a lot of skill set and it was pleasing to see her do well. Sarah picked up a concussion and we lost her overs but that is how it goes. See you in Wellington"
Sophie Devine (New Zealand Captain and Player of the Match): "I set pretty high standards for myself and just happy to contribute. Melie was incredible, we leaked too many runs at the start but glad we could hold the nerve and win this.

Through the middle phase both of us wanted to build a nice partnership, it was critical and we could have got more but it was great to establish that partnership. It was about yorkers and things like that, you have to stand up and play the role with the ball too.

To have a result like this today means a lot and is a reward for the work that is been done behind the scenes."
8:25 IST, 3:55 Local Time | New Zealand win by 3 runs and are well and truly alive in the series with this win. What a game we have witnessed. It looked like a walk in the park for England after the start they got but this has been some brilliance by the New Zealand bowlers to make a comeback. Suzie Bates was brilliant in the last over and gave away just 4 runs.

Opting to bat first, the home side posted a above par total of 155/3 in their 20 overs. They came out with a positive intent in the powerplay and scored 44 runs for the first wicket partnership. Brenadine Bezuidenhout was impressive at top of the order and scored 34 off 27 balls.

It was the partnership between Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr which helped the white ferns go over the 150-mark. Skipper Devine was impressive in the middle order and scored 60 runs. Amelia Kerr was also impressive and remained unbeaten on 44*.

For England, their bowlers were a bit expensive in the powerplay and also in the death. Danielle Gibson and Sarah Glenn were the only wicket takers and picked up 2 and 1 wickets respectively.

Coming to the chase, the visitors lost a early wicket in the form of run out. Maia Bouchier was outstanding for them and it was unfortunate to lose her in the form of run out. She scored 71 off just 47 balls. Their middle order collapsed today and that will be area they will look to improve upon.

With the ball, New Zealand Women were expensive in the first half of the innings but were outstanding in the death and made a solid comeback. Skipper Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates were the top wicket takers and picked up 2 wickets each. So, the series stand 2-1 and the last two encounters of the series will be crucial for both the sides.
