11:51 PM IST, 8:21 PM Local Time | Well that's all for today folks! SA20 2024 is heading into the business end and stay tuned with us for this exciting ride!

Until then, this is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my co-commentator Hiren Kumar, and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav! See you on the next one!
Daniel Worrall (Player of the match) : "Yeah, the Faf one did not come out well but pretty happy. I got a few down the leg side but happy with the wickets. I am swing bowler and extract much as i can from the pitch and that is my role in the team. It is a fine line. The conditions dictate what your length can be. Thank you."
Daniel Worrall is the player of the match.
Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Eastern Cape Captain): "It was an awesome performance. Few balls we got in the right area and fortunate to get the other dismissals. Happy to get the win, happy to take our chances in the field and a good day for the batters as well. Nice solid space for the team to be in the dressing room.

Not sure, two close games where we have won, if you take those games away then the story would have been different but last year also we won the close ones and it's important to get some practice in before the business end.

Confidence in change room is sometimes is hard to get, guys will benefit from this victory."
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings Captain): "Shocked to be honest. I thought it was pitch to get 170-180. it was on a slower side but we did not bat well. Playing against team which are doing all things right is difficult. It feels like one of those days. It was a combination of not batting well.

That is how cricket is. Sometimes you are in purple patch and sometimes you are completely out of form. You have to look ahead. We have one game against DSG. We know we have the potential and we are a dangerous team if we play well. There are a lot learning from this game as well"
Welcome to the post match presentation
11:33 PM IST, 8:03 PM Local Time | Sunrisers Eastern Cape make short work of Joburg Super King's total to cruise away to victory in 11 overs! The defeat a deflated Joburg side by 9 wickets to take home the points plus a bonus to QUALIFY for the playoffs and go second in the table!

Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the toss and elected to bowl first, and what a decision that turned out to be! Led by first Daniel Worrall, who picked up back-to-back crucial wickets of Faf and Hendricks in the third over.

Sunrisers never looked back after that as they bundled out the Joburg Super Kings for 78 runs in 15.2 overs! Patrick Kruger and Daniel Worrall both picked up 3 wickets to each to decimate the Joburg batting order and give their batters the second lowest total ever in SA20 to chase down.

Come the chase, the Sunrisers openers approached the low chase with caution, playing out the first two overs before finding their groove. Williams dismissed Hermann in the 5th over to give Joburg something to celebrate but Malan decimated Burger in the last over of the powerplay to hit him for a hattrick of boundaries.

Thereafter, Malan and Abell forged a match winning partnership to take their team safely over the line at the end of the 11th over! Sunrisers qualify for the playoffs and more importantly go second in the table!

Joburg Super Kings will be disappointed as they were outclassed in all 3 departments of the game but Faf and the think tank will go back to the drawing board and come up with a strategy to bounce back in their next encounter!
