Milestone
That's all from the 3rd game of the ongoing PSL 2024 between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings. For now, this is the text commentator duo of Saptak Sanyal and Deepak Prakash signing off alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Good night
Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans Captain): "Yeah, I believe in my coach, he has got a good idea of reading the pitch, and at the end of the first innings, he said it's enough total on this pitch. I was not worried about the score at any point of time during our batting. Our bowling was very disciplined and this is why we won this match by 55 runs. We don't have big names in our lineup but the way we executed was best. We're going to gather the guys and stay positive. Dahani had a rough start, but he bounced back nicely."
Reeza Hendricks (Player of the Match)- "I think the conditions played a role behind us slowing down the game. That was necessary for us to play and stabilize the innings. The condition was very new to me and thus, I wanted to spend some time in the middle and that has paid off."
Player of the Match- Reeza Hendricks
Superpower of the Day- Khushdil Shah
Energetic batter of the Match: Dawid Malan
Moment of the Match- David Willey
Time for the post match presentations.
23:23 IST and 22:53 Local Time | The Multan Sultans starts their PSL 2024 campaign with a win over the Karachi Kings by 55 runs. They completely outplayed their opponent and are the deserving side to come out victorious.

Coming to bat first, the Multan Sultans had an early setback as Mohammad Rizwan got out cheaply for 11. But the setback was well recovered by Dawid Malan and Reeza Hendricks. The duo forged a 121 run partnership facing 90 balls together. Both the batters got to the half-century milestone. Dawid Malan batted for 41 balls and scored 52 runs with 4 boundaries and a maximum. Reeza Hendricks remained unbeaten on 79 facing 54 balls with 7 boundaries and 3 maximums. Khushdil Shah played a nice cameo of 28 runs off 13 balls hitting 4 boundaries.

For the Karachi Kings, Mir Hamza and Daniel Sams took one wicket each.

Coming to chase the run, the Karachi Kings had a difficulty right from the start. David Willey bowled in a terrific way with the new ball and scalped a couple of wickets just giving 2 runs away. Mohammad Ali got hit for a few boundaries but came back well. Kings lost James Vince and Saad Baig in that phase and after that, skipper Shan Masood and the experienced Shoaib Malik helped them with a brief partnership. Shan got out for 30 off 31 balls but Malik contributed 53 runs from 32 balls hitting 5 boundaries and a couple of maximums. But the entire middle order failed horribly. Mohammad Nawaz(5), Daniel Sams(0) and Hasan Ali(0) got out cheaply. Pollard tries hard to chase the run but his lone effort was not enough. Pollard remained unbeaten on 28 and the Kings finished on 130 losing 8 wickets and suffered a 55 run defeat.

Mohammad Ali was the star of the bowling picking up 3 wickets giving 23 runs away. David Willey and Abbas Afridi took a couple of wickets giving 22 and 16 runs away respectively. Usama Mir was vey economical in his 4 over spell as he gave away just 14 runs.

Stay tuned for the post match presentations.
