"Normal practice routine. Nothing special.
"The important thing is to use the variations at the right time. It's about staying one step ahead of the batters.
"The field adjustments are crucial. If you and the batter know what you'll deliver, then you need to play with one fielder's position to deceive the batter. If he's ready for a slower bouncer but I go slow and wide, he won't be ready.
"We do practice with the wet ball (to adjust to dew).
"As long as I do well, I enjoy. When I don't, it hurts but it's all about reflecting on the past mistakes.
"Our spinners performed when needed. It helped us chase a smaller target."

Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans Skipper): "It's great to win two matches at home. Two more to go and then we go on the road.
"Our bowlers were splendid in the middle overs. Both Rashid (Khan) and Noor (Ahmad) were great. Rashid is world-class.
"Mohit (Sharma) is such an experienced bowler. He comes in and bowls the slower bouncers. Executes his variations perfectly. All credit to him.
"In this heat, it's easier to bat early in day games. So, we wanted to make them hit to the bigger boundary off slower balls.
"We thought 160-170 would be a good score. Our bowlers restricted them.
"The players are clear with their respective roles. It was important for (David) Miller to get back in him. Thankfully, he came good. He's not injured. Just cramps."

B Sai Sudharsan (GT): “Definitely, really happy to contribute to the win. I think on this wicket, it was difficult to play against the fast bowlers. They had to bowl one over of spinner and we decided to take it on.
It was great contributions from Mohit bhai and Rashid bhai. They picked up wickets at crucial times and restricted them. I feel they did very well to save 10-15 runs in the end there which was the key.
Playing in front of the home crowd is a plus point and we know the conditions here. Everybody wants to get more runs. I’m trying to keep contributing to the wins."

Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad Skipper): “Yeah, good game of cricket. It was pretty tight throughout the match. We would have loved to get 10-15 more runs. I think they bowled well. Just losing a couple of wickets didn’t help us. I felt that was the difference.
We thought the wicket was going to slow up a little bit. The off-cutters were effective and we are lucky to have eight bowling options.
I thought the wicket played the pure in both the innings. It’s T20 cricket. We had fantastic first couple of games. Few of the boys got starts but failed to carry on. It happens.”

Cummins managed to get the better of Sudharsan and somehow dragged the match to the final over but Miller, despite limping, helped his team complete its second win at IPL 2024.
