That's it. Thank you for joining us! On behalf of my co-commentators Akshay-Ninaad and scorer Raju, I, Sidharth, say goodbye. Cheers!
Romario Shepherd (Player of the Match): "My hard-work has paid off. The coach and the captain told me to express myself.

"(Batting strategy for death overs) All you got to do is keep yours eyes on the ball. Can't be tentative. Take it ball-by-ball. Having a clear mind helps.

"I was in a good position to capitalize on the deliveries thrown at me.

"Indian food the reason behind my power (chuckles)."
Romario Shepherd is the Player of the Match
Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain): "I would like to have this feeling more often. It was a great hard work. We did well to execute the plans and glad that everything clicked. We will be making some tactical changes. But this will be our 12 and everyone is excited to come in and chip whenever they get an opportunity.

There is a lot of love and care going around. We have the belief and everyone is backing everyone. Everyone knew we wanted a win and today is the start. To get 77 or 80 after the first six overs, you don't ask for more. It was great and it was fantastic to see everyone chipping in whenever an opportunity arises.

(On Romario Shepherd) That was some hitting. He won us the game. It was the difference. It was Romario Shepherd versus Delhi Capitals. He always has a smile on his face. It was nice to see him contribute to the team.

All good. I will be bowling at the right time. Everything went right for us and I didn't feel it was a need for me to roll the arm over."

Ishan Kishan (MI): "We played to our best potential today. There were ups and downs but we stuck to our process and happy that we came out on top. We have played enough games here. It’s not easy after the powerplay. We both felt that the powerplay was crucial and I feel we executed really well.

(On Romario Shepherd) I feel the same. This guy has been working really hard. He was not getting chances but he was working hard in the nets. We wanted that kind of over and how it could change the game.

Very good. We were talking to our coaches on what fielding to set. As a wicket-keeper, I have a big role to play. I know it’s difficult for the captain to get the best field set. It’s my job to know the angles and set the right field. Those angles, it’s all on the wicket-keeper."
The Mumbai Indians players are having a victory lap here, thanking all the kids who came out to support them.
Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals Captain): "Definitely we were in contention but I feel we didn't have enough runs during the powerplay. We tried to chase it afterwards but when the pressure mounts and required rate goes over 10 or 15 per over, it gets difficult.

One over here and there definitely changes the momentum of the game. Either we can blame or look to improve on that.

The wicket was good to bat on but the slower ones were sticking into the surface. Depending on the bowler, if they were trying to use the wicket as much as possible instead of backing whatever they thought was good would have been better.

We will look to improve in our powerplay and death bowling as well."
19:14 IST and Local Time | That's it. Mumbai Indians register a 29-run win over Delhi Capitals, who slump to their fourth defeat. Credit to Romario Shepherd, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah, and Gerald Coetzee for stepping up.

Chasing a humongous target of 235, DC were off to a terrible start as they lost David Warner early. Impact Player Abishek Porel, who came at No. 3, played his shots but couldn't score at a quick pace. Prithvi Shaw made a brisk fifty before falling to unarguably an unplayable yorker by Jasprit Bumrah. Tristan Stubbs was sent ahead of skipper Rishabh Pant and he was stupendous, smacking a half-century, but he was left with too much to do. Bumrah was the difference between the two teams. His cutters and yorkers had MI ahead for most of the game. Pant couldn't make an impact, and Stubbs, who remained unbeaten on 71 off only 25 balls, missed a hitter at the other end.

Earlier, after being asked to bat first, MI posted a mammoth 234. Rohit and Kishan set the platform with a fiery start. Rohit struck aplenty boundaries in the powerplay, but Axar Patel ended his stint on 49. The home team then lost a few wickets in quick intervals and slipped to 121/4. Skipper Hardik Pandya, who promoted himself to No. 4, found the going tough. Hardik was patchy throughout his 33-ball 39, but managed to add a useful stand with David. Later, Shepherd’s blitzkrieg helped MI post an imposing total. Shepherd came out of nowhere to smash an unbeaten 10-ball 39. The West Indies hitter took Nortje to the cleaners, hammering 32 off the final over. A stiff chase for DC, who failed to get over the line.
