Reeza Hendricks (Batter of the match)- "I think our bowlers did a nice job to restrict them to a low total. It was a good wicket to bat on. One of us should have elongated his stay to stay in the run chase. Wiaan came in and he smashed a few and that helped us in the run chase."

Codi Ethan Yusuf (Bowler of the Match)- "There was a lot of pace and bounce in the wicket and it was nice to bowl here. Allan Donald made the work simple for me and fortunately we have him to work with us."

Prenelan Subrayen (Dolphins Captain)- "I think we lacked in a few areas. But it was a great campaign for us. I think we did errors in smaller margins and Lions won the game there."

Wiaan Mulder (Lions)- "It is really cool to come through when the team needed the most. The wicket was a little bit tacky. I just tried to absorb the pressure and luckily I did that. I discussed with Reeza to take the match-ups in a positive way. We are going to have a grand celebration tonight."

Allan Donald (Lions Bowling Coach)- "This has been a long summer and this is a good reward for this team. They have worked hard and everyone has contributed to the run chase. We worked on mindset, had our attention to the details but all the credits goes to these guys. I reckon that I was involved in one of the best multi-days game in this season and we have won this title too."

21:00 IST and 17:30 Local Time | After being put up to Bat by the Lions, the Dolphins never kept going, losing their first wicket in 3rd over in the form of a run-out. Zondo and Smuts got along well together but their 28-run partnership was cut short by Fortuin. Zondo looked promising (37/25) but couldn't convert his start. Wickets fell in short intervals , supported by C Yusuf and B Fortuin who picked up 2 wickets each .Dolphins struggled their way till 15th over.

Jason Smith and Eathan Bosch then changed their gears. A 20 run-over from Peter's over helped them gain momentum. Jason Smith with his 33 ball 51 helped the Dolphins to reach up to a respectable score of 165. C Yusuf - (4-16-02) B Fortuin ( 4-24-02)

Coming to the Lion's innings, they got off to a great start courtesy of the massive sixes of Rickelton and a few boundaries from Hendricks, Dolphins came back to the game after picking the price wicket of Rickelton. Though, Hendricks made sure he was there at one end. Dolphins fought back in the middle overs with quick wickets of Rassie and Bavuma.

But an unbeaten and match-winning 85-run partnership between Mulder and Hendricks made sure they didn't get way behind the required run rate and clinch the CSA -T20 LEAGUE 2024 CUP. Mulder remained unbeaten on 55 off 26 balls and Reeza added 73 runs from 52 balls. O Cele ( 3-38-01) A Phehlukwayo ( 2-14-01)

6 SIXXX!!!! Mulder seals the deal for his team and the Lions have got their fifth title. He hugs Reeza Hendricks in delight as they have emerged out victorious in this grand finale!!! He has reached his fifty with that. The entire Lions dug out is pumped up. Agony for the Dolphins.

Fuller than length outside off. Mulder moves to the line of the ball and carves it over deep cover and the ball goes for a flat maximum. What a run chase this has been.
