That's it from a phenomenal game in the Indian Premier League as the Royal Challengers finally get to winning ways after a big slump. That will be it from our coverage. Ninaad Dixit signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Sidharth Gulati along with the scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
STAT ATTACK - Each team has now lost at least one home match in IPL 2024.
Rajat Patidar (Player of the Match): "I was just keeping the things in mind to control the controllable. I kept doing the things which I was doing for so long.

My mindset my batting technique. Whenever I go back home I try to solve every problem I face and I go for skillful batting second.

Today I was just batting myself to be in a good shape against every bowler."
Rajat Patidar is the Player of the Match
Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain): "(chuckles) Yeah, I forgot the way to the presentation party. Every time, I was walking off the field straightaway.

Yeah, we have been closer in many games but haven't been able to cross the victory line. The SRH game was 270+, and we got to 260, then the KKR game as well, just one run. We've been close for a while but you need to win matches to get confidence in the group.

It was a massive win for us. When you're not winning, it affects you mentally and your confidence. I will sleep a little bit easier tonight.

You can't fake confidence in a group, and neither can you talk confidence to a group. The only way to bring confidence is by performing.

First half of the competition we felt like we weren't near our potential. And when you're playing at 50% or 60%, you don't get the confidence.

Over the last week and a half, we have been working hard to improve our game. Rajat's back-to-back fifties will be great for him. Green is playing well, and tonight's performance will be massive for him. It's never going to be just one guy getting the runs.

Obviously we know that the Chinnaswamy has been disappointing for us. We are trying to find a recipe where we feel like we can bowl at that ground. And it's been tough for the guys to find a formula. A leg-spinner (Karn Sharma), even more so now, you have to have a leg-spinner in your team."
Most Fours in the Match: Cameron Green (5 boundaries)

Time for the post-match presentation...
RCB in Powerplay (IPL 2024):

Before This Game: 288 Balls, 7 wickets
Tonight v SRH: 36 Balls, 4 wickets
Cameron Green (RCB): "It's always nice to return to winning ways. Feels pretty good.

"A brave move to bat first. I wasn't in agreement with the skipper's decision. So credit to Faf (du Plessis) and the coach.

"(On his best role in T20s) I'm still young in my career. I'm figuring it out. But I like to bat up the order.

"(On the Klaasen catch) I think the whole time kept thinking 'Klaasen, Klaasen'. It stayed up there for a long time (chuckles).

"Another game in a couple of days time. We'll enjoy this victory."
Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain): "It was not an ideal night for us. Maybe a few more runs were given with the ball that was above par. We also lost too many wickets in the chase.

I don't think that batting second was the reason for the defeat. We are a bat first team, alright. A few games ago we thought we were a bat second win team.

I speak after wins, Dan (Vettori) speaks after losses (chuckles).

We won't dwell on this one too much. It's a long tournament. One here and there, you're bound to end up losing.

I think it's (batting) our stronger suits, to be honest. It won't come off every game, but it's worked well for us."
11:14 PM: Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally break their losing streak with a convincing 35 run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.

RCB won the toss, elected to bat first and in a wonderful batting display scored 206/7 with Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar scoring half centuries. Jaydev Unadkat in his 100th IPL game starred with 3/30.

The chase never looked in control as the Sunrisers started losing wickets from the first over itself. Impact player Travis Head scored just 1 and was sent back by Will Jacks. Abhishek Sharma hit 31 in 13 but was dismissed by Yash Dayal in the latter's first over.

Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen were sent packing by RCB's impact sub Swapnil Singh in a single over inside powerplay with SRH tottering at 62/4 in their first 6 overs.

The batters batted with intent despite wickets falling regularly. Shahbaz Ahmed top scored with an unbeaten 40, Pat Cummins batting at number 8 brought the side's hopes up with 31 in 15 but there wasn't enough firepower left after his dismissal in the 14th over.

Cameron Green (2/12), Karn Sharma (2/29) and Swapnil (2/40) picked up 2 wickets each. Dayal (1/18) was economic in his 3 over spell with Will Jacks (1/23) getting the important and early wicket in form of Head. Mohammed Siraj at his home ground failed to take a wicket but conceded only 20 in his 4 overs.

Despite getting the win, RCB still find themselves at the 10th position in the table, tied at 4 points with the Punjab Kings. Sunrisers are intact at their third place with 10 points in 8 matches. RCB next play the Gujarat Titans this Sunday with SRH playing CSK on the same day.

Stay tuned for the post match coverage.
